Artist Statement
Leslie Urquhart is a Vancouver-based artist and mother who challenges conventional notions of self, identity, family and boundaries through her diverse artistic practice. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University (2005), she works in painting, printmaking and sculpture. Urquhart creates thought-provoking pieces that resonate with personal and collective experiences. Her artwork has been exhibited in various galleries across the lower mainland of Vancouver, BC. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Leslie works at Emily Carr University, where she continues to inspire and support the next generation of artists.
